Hip Calcification

Hip arthritis, also known as hip osteoarthritis, is a degenerative joint disease characterized by pain, stiffness, and limited movement caused by the wear and tear of the cartilage in the hip joint. When the cartilage wears away, the bones rub against each other, making daily movements difficult.

The primary causes of the disease are aging, excess weight, joint injuries, genetic predisposition, and repetitive stress on the hip joint. Symptoms include hip pain radiating to the groin area, swelling, limited movement, and difficulty with activities such as walking and sitting.

Diagnosis is made through a physical examination and X-rays. Treatment includes weight control, joint-friendly exercises, and medications. Orthopedic rehabilitation strengthens muscles, reduces joint load, and increases mobility. In more advanced cases, hip replacement surgery may be necessary.

Early diagnosis slows the progression of the disease and improves quality of life. It is important for people experiencing hip pain to consult a specialist.
